Only took me 15 years to put this together.
Stupid easy & cheap.
Know how your spool of ground wire rolls around your truck if you don't corral it well?
And the spool ends always shatters and the pieces that don't break off bends over the wire so wire snags it all the time?
And pulling the wire clean off the spool hardly ever happens unless you put the undamaged spool in a caddy - that is one more thing to carry & keep track of?
I cut a couple squares from scrap 1/4" plywood a little bigger than a new spool.
Drilled a hole in center to accommodate whatever scrap of metal tube or rod you have.
Drill a hole near end of axle for cotter pin or bent nail.
I used a fender washer between cotter pin & wood, another washer then spool / washer / wood / washer / pin.
Won't roll around truck nearly as easy
Wire plays off nice, neat & easy
One tidy little package - wish I had of thought of it years ago
