[Exede] VLC media player update SNAFU

I'm switching between two ISP sources, and yesterday while on the wireless carrier, I checked to see if there was an update for VLC media player, which there was. So, I switched back to satellite to download, and booted up vlc.exe to check for an update, and got above error message. Then, I switched back to wireless carrier, checked for an update, and updated this program to version 3.0.6 Vetinari. Today, I checked for an update using satellite, and it fizzled. So, I conclude there is a data-bit exchange issue
