Fast, secure browser

Viasat has recently touted a new, chrome based browser purported to sport higher page loading speeds and improved security. They, as usual, have left out Linux users as it has not been ported to that platform. Today I came across a new-to-me browser called "Brave" which IS actually cross platform and while not quite as simple to download and install for linux, is quicker and definitely more secure as it is built with a very effective adblocker, script and malware blocker. So far, I am very impressed with it. It also has its roots in Chrome but lacks the Google baggage that spies on everything you do and pops in adds whenever it can. It also supports Windows and Mac OS versions. I suspect, but cannot confirm, that it is similar if not the same (or better than) as the new Viasat browser. Unlike the Viasat version, it is truly cross platform so Linux users need not feel left out as it can be installed on Debian, Ubuntu, Mint, Red Hat and open SUSE distributions of Linux. It is totally open source so the source code can be examined by. those that have the knowledge and interest. At this point, I am just trying it out so no hard conclusions yet but at first blush, it looks quite good.
