Over the weekend, I finally ditched Hughesnet and wow, I'm glad I did! Exede is so much better than my Hughesnet (HN9000, not Gen 4) and I can do a lot of things I couldn't over Hughes like party chat on Xbox. iMessage is much faster now as well, like insanely fast. I do have one question though, and I thought I'd come here before going and buying a new router or going to customer support.
My connection keeps cutting out randomly throughout the day and I'd like to blame my router, but I'd like second opinions. This did happen when I had Hughes, but not nearly as much as it does. The whole connection just drops, no device, regardless if it goes through ethernet or wifi, refuses to work for a good 10 to 15 minutes. I can restart the router and get my connection going again, but its a hassle, especially when I have downloads going during the LNFZ and everything stops. So, does anyone have any explanation or solution for this? The router is a Linksys WRT120N.
